Teacher: Mrs Dabo
Welcome to Otter Class!
This term, the children have been learning all about space. So far, they have learnt all about our Solar System, including the name and order of all the planets. They have also found out about the first moon landing, creating their own moon buggies and singing songs about the life of Neil Armstrong.
To support your child with their learning at this tricky time, please make use of the Knowledge Organiser and Home Learning pack attached below.
Our next step was to create a timeline of space exploration by finding out which animals, people and countries were the first to venture into the unknown. We were also planning to find out about Christopher Columbus, another great explorer, and compare his life with that of Neil Armstrong.
See if you can use your time at home to research these things and create something to show Mrs Dabo what you have found out! You could also go star gazing or track the phases of the moon as it appears in the sky each night.
If you have any questions, please email the school office and Mrs Dabo will endeavour to respond as soon as she can.
