Teacher: Mrs Reuter
Teaching Assistants: Mrs McEachern, Mrs Devine
It's great to be working with you all again whilst Mrs Dabo is on maternity leave.
We are missing you all lots and can't wait to have you back in school! But until then, please continue to access the online learning on Class Dojo. All resources and live lesson links will be updated daily. You are all doing such a great job and I really enjoy seeing the work you are doing at home. Remember we are here to support you and the children in anyway we can so please don't hesitate to get in touch.
It is still very important that your children are reading on a daily basis and joining in with the daily RWI video lessons.
What can move and how does it move?
Join us this half term on a superhero adventure to find out what can move and how it moves using pushing and pulling and other forces. We will launch our new topic with a superheroes day. You will also be investigating how your own superhero vehicle moves on wheels day and think about who are our real- life superheroes and how they help us.
Stay safe and well,
If you have any questions, please contact Mrs Reuter via ClassDojo.
Please remember all urgent messages, or messages about attendance and changes to pick up/drop off, should be sent to the School Office.
PE Days: Monday and Thursday
Please ensure you come to school in your PE kit on these days. Make sure you have warm clothes and suitable shoes in case your lesson is outside.
Rocket Readers: We will no longer be using Rocket Reader certificates but you can still earn your rocket stamps by reading your RWI books 3x at home.
Book changing: RWI books will be changed every Monday and Thursday by a teacher. Children will also be able to bring home a further phonetically decodeable book and a 'reading for pleasure' book chosen from the book corner. We will be reminding them to change these books independently after they have settled back in to Year 1.
Please be patient while we re-assess the children over the next couple of weeks.
Homework: To support the fantastic progress the children are making in school with RWI phonics, please endeavour to hear them read daily at home.
