Summer Term Two
Our topic this half term is called 'Land Ahoy!' - a Geography based topic where we will aiming to find out about famous explorers and where in the world they had these adventures
We will be making boats this half term and testing them to see if they can float. We will also take the challenge that extra step to see if we can make a boat that floats as well as carry cargo!
Please could you save useful materials for this and start sending them into school week beginning the 17th June - thank you!

We need to have a real push on reading! Well done to the children who saw their rocket zooming from planet to planet last term. Sadly this was only a handful of children. Let's see if we can do even better this term! Children need to read 4 times a week, either at home or at school in order to be a 'Rocket Reader' for that week. We check reading diaries each Friday. Please support your child by enabling them to have the time to read at home and by bringing in reading diaries every day to school. Children are encouraged to change their books as often as they need to so.... keep reading!!
Have a look at this website for up to date books that your child may enjoy sharing with you.
We have PE on a Thursday (day change) and a Friday however PE kits should be in school all week. Last term we had a lot of clothing without names in - please check regularly as names soon wash out and fade. A reminder too that long hair needs to be tied back and earrings should not be worn for PE lessons. Please send in water bottles for the children as we take those out to the field with us.
